Our Work, Photographed Where It Was Built

These are our own photographs of our own projects, not stock images. Some are finished pools in the evening light. Some are a steel cage in a muddy hole, which is what most of building a pool actually looks like.

Why we show the middle as well as the end

Every pool company shows you finished pools at golden hour. Far fewer show you what the yard looked like in week three.

We think the construction photographs are more useful, because they are the part you cannot judge from a brochure. A tied steel cage tells you about spacing and cover. A plumbing rough-in tells you about pipe sizing and how many sweeping bends there are. A freshly carved shell tells you about how the steps, benches and dam wall were formed. Those are the things that decide whether a pool is good, and they are invisible the moment the plaster goes on.

The finished shots are here too, and they are honest about the local light — a lot of them were taken under Central Coast overcast rather than in a hard blue sky, because that is what the water actually looks like here a good deal of the time.
